Het Gastenhuis is expanding rapidly

Het Gastenhuis, a participation by NPM Capital in the focus area of Healthy Life & Learning, is working hard on the rapid expansion of its physical footprint. The high-end senior care formula and its real-estate partners has started construction on a new seniors’ care facility in the town of Sint-Michielsgestel (province of North Brabant) in October. Additionally, construction work has started on the roof of a new building in Voorschoten (Province of South Holland).

The approach taken by Het Gastenhuis to senior care is based on small-scale services, personalised attention, and enabling seniors suffering from dementia to maintain as much of their independence as possible. Since it opened its first care facility in 2015, Het Gastenhuis has rapidly expanded the number of its care facilities.

The first ceremonial brick in Sint-Michielsgestel was laid by Gastenhuis director Annemieke Bambach and Lianne van der Aa, Councillor for the municipality of Sint-Michielsgestel and proponent of the Gastenhuis approach. The facility is expected to open its doors in July 2025 and will consist of 42 apartments, four of which are reserved for couples.

At the end of September, director Bambach and another municipal Councillor visited the building site of a new care facility in Voorschoten, scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025. These two new locations are not the only ones scheduled to open in 2025. At the beginning of 2025, a facility in the new Overhoeks neighbourhood of North Amsterdam is also expected open its doors. Similar to the facility in Voorschoten, it will consist of 20 apartments, two of which are reserved for couples. In addition, all the locations have two common rooms and one open-plan kitchen.

Het Gastenhuis presently has about 24 locations throughout the Netherlands. In 2023, Het Gastenhuis was one of the five most highly rated private residential care centres in the Netherlands according to ZorgkaartNederland (Care Map for the Netherlands). The average customer satisfaction score for that year was 9.0.
