Our participation ICT Group is expanding its activities with the acquisition of Modality, a leading IT company specializing in systems for intermodal freight transport. This reinforces ICT Group's position as market leader in the seaport-hinterland logistics chain.
Modality, based in the Dutch town of Barendrecht, has built up a strong market position over 28 years through its innovative software solutions for transport management (TMS) and container terminal operations (TOS). Their systems enhance the availability of information throughout the logistics chain by rendering processes more transparent and efficient. With customers ranging from inland terminals to barge, rail and truck operators, Modality offers integrated interfaces with all major logistics parties, including seaports, customs and Portbase.
Modality's software and expertise are a seamless fit with the activities of ICT's Logistics division. This acquisition provides a strategic advantage to ICT Group and enables further growth in both the Benelux and the DACH region. Modality will continue to operate under its current management, now as a part of ICT Group. This enables the company to further expand and optimize its service to customers, contributing to ICT Group's ambition to maintain its leadership in its key focus markets.
