De Boer Structures has signed another contract extension with the Royal Dutch Hockey Association KNHB. This means that De Boer will remain the Official Supplier of the KNHB for more hockey tournaments in the coming years.
“We’re proud to be able to continue our very solid and long-term relationship with De Boer,” says Erik Gerritsen, director of the KNHB. “De Boer’s expertise is part of what has made our international events such a success with hockey fans and guests. We’re looking forward to seeing De Boer at the European Championships in Amsterdam this summer.”
Wagener Stadium
Over the next few years, De Boer will be providing a variety of temporary spaces to supplement hockey tournaments like the European Hockey Championships, to be held in Wagener Stadion in Amsterdam August 18-27 of this year.
For this year’s European championships, De Boer will also be building the promo village, including merchandising stands, the media centre, hospitality pavilions for sponsors and catering facilities. Marc van Raaij, account manager for De Boer, says, “Thanks to our experience with major sporting events, we are in a perfect position to fill the needs for temporary space and we can adjust fast to last-minute changes. With the mutual trust that we have built through our years of experience with the KNHB, we are looking forward to the great tournaments we’ll be doing together.”
De Boer has built similar facilities for other hockey tournaments, including the world championships in 1998 and 2014 and various tournaments in Germany and Belgium.
