Kramp kicks off energy project with solar roof | NPM Capital

Written by NPM Capital | Dec 10, 2019 5:00:00 AM

Kramp has fitted its roof with 1,636 solar panels that will generate 400,000 kWh of green energy every year. That’s enough sustainable energy to power around 20% of the activities of this full-service supplier of parts, technical services and business solutions – equal to the annual consumption of more than 100 households.

Energy-saving projects are frequently started by small communities, and Kramp offered its community of employees the opportunity to buy ‘solar energy shares’ for €250 each. The participants have come together to form an employee cooperative that is eligible for a grant from the provincial authorities.

The energy project of Kramp – an NPM Capital portfolio company – is supported by the AGEM: the Achterhoekse Groene Energie Maatschappij (‘Achterhoek Green Energy Association’). The AGEM was founded by eight local authorities in the Achterhoek area, with the aim of making the area more sustainable.
